Job description

Raycap, Inc., an industry leader in metal manufacturing solutions for telecommunications, switch board / switchgear and other applications is currently looking for a Production Laborer.

The production laborer  is responsible for assisting with general production needs in accordance with their designated manufacturing areas.

  • Ensures work areas are clean and clear of debris and scrap material, placed in proper receptacles
  • Assists with general production labor needs such as :
  • Grinding or deburring parts
  • Punching cut parts out of sheet metal
  • Placing and organizing punch parts onto pallets
  • Moving material using a pallet jack and / or forklift to appropriate work areas
  • Operating the PEM inserter machine
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Has the obligation to be aware of and comply with environmental, safety policies and regulations and always endures duties of high-quality standards

Job Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively with limited to no supervision
  • Experience in a warehouse environment preferred
  • Ability to communicate verbally
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Willingness to adapt and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Physical Demands

  • Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Stand and Bend frequently without issue
  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled production environment
  • Hours : Occasional overtime is a requirement of this job, and these hours may change to meet the needs of our business.

    2nd shift : Monday – Friday 3 : 30 pm – 12 : 00 am

    Break / Lunch : 30 minutes lunch, plus two 15-minute breaks, to be determined by manager.

    Union : IBEW Local Union 3 with 45-day probationary period.

  • Medical / Dental / Vision / HRA / Annuity – 6 months from the date of hire.
  • Vacation Time – will begin effective June 30th, after 6 months of continuous employment.
  • Sick Time – will begin after 1 year of continuous employment.
  • Mandatory Union Dues - $6 / week, $24 / month.
  • Mandatory One Time $176 Union application fee.
  • 12 Paid holidays.
