Patient Access Supervisor

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor of Patient Access Services to join our team. This pivotal role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including scheduling, pre-registration, verification, pre-certification, financial counseling, admissions, and registration. The Supervisor will play an active role in the daily operations of the arrival centers, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.

Key Responsibilities :

Scheduling and Pre-Registration : Manage and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring all necessary information is collected prior to arrival.

Verification and Pre-Certification : Conduct thorough insurance verification and obtain pre-certifications as required.

Financial Counseling : Provide financial counseling to patients, addressing any questions or concerns regarding their financial responsibilities.

Admissions and Registration : Oversee the admission and registration process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of patient records.

Operational Assistance : Actively assist in the daily operations of the arrival centers, ensuring a smooth workflow and excellent patient service.

Data Gathering : Collect and maintain accurate demographic and insurance information for patients' financial records.

Experience / Training Requirements :

Registration Experience : A minimum of five years of registration experience in a hospital setting or equivalent experience.

Supervision Experience : Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred.

Insurance Knowledge : Comprehensive understanding of insurance contracts, PPOs, HMOs, review boards, medical group notification processes, and insurance verification.

Skills and Qualifications :

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency in using relevant software and technology for scheduling and registration
