Aveanna’s Private Duty nurses assist our patients with transitioning home from the hospital and provide the continuous care needed to remain at home with their loved ones. We match our nurses to their patients based on skill, age, health condition, and acuity level. Our nurses make a positive and lasting impact on their patients' lives by providing one-on-one care ranging from 8 to 16-hour shifts.

Implementation of physicians’ prescribed plan of carePatient assessments and coordination of careAdministration of prescribed medication, treatments, and therapiesCompliant, timely documentation of care provided in system of recordHealth promotion, teaching, and training of family membersResponsible for accepting and writing verbal orders from physicians as required and for obtaining co-signature of Case Manager on all verbal ordersFollow up with physician, client, family members, staff, and Case Manager on client problems, concerns, and / or changes in client conditionPerforms other appropriate duties as assignedQualifications
Must have and maintain an active, unencumbered license (RN / LPN / LVN) in the state in which the clinician will practiceCurrent CPR certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or BLSTB skin test (current within last 12 months)Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not requiredMust have reliable transportationBenefit eligibility is dependent upon employment statusCCPA Notice for Job Applicants, Contractors, and Employees Residing in California
