Camas FAB, Facilities Technician – Ultrapure Water System
Job Description
Education :
Associate Degree in Science (AAS or AS) or equivalent combination of recognized technical certifications and experience. David H. Paul UPW certifications and coursework a plus.
Required Skills :
- 7+ years in semiconductor ultrapure water (UPW) plant operations and maintenance including ultrapure water distribution systems.
- Demonstrated understanding of basic unit operations within the ultrapure water plant such as : reverse osmosis, ion exchange, UV, ultrafiltration, ultrapure water distribution piping, and basic control systems.
- Overall basic familiarity with or exposure to multiple semiconductor facilities systems / equipment such as : piping systems, HVAC, pumps, compressors, bulk gases, wastewater treatment, bulk chemical distribution, ultrapure water, electrical power distribution, field instruments, and control systems.
- Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency with semiconductor facilities systems operations and maintenance of facilities equipment.
- Demonstrated abilities with basic mechanical, electrical and control system troubleshooting for various semiconductor facilities systems and equipment types.
- Ability to interface and manage outside contractors for daily operations and small (~$30K) maintenance projects for all facilities systems.
- Ability to safely work in an industrial plant / facilities environment wearing the prescribed personal protective equipment (PPE) for hearing, respirator, chemical protection and fall protection. Ability to work off ladders and scaffolding, and able to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in collaborative and team focused environment with cross-functional technical disciplines.
Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities :
The position will be focused on operations and maintenance of the ADI Camas Ultrapure water (UPW) system. The successful candidate will also have experience with a wide variety of semiconductor facilities systems and equipment.Manage UPW system performance to include collection of system operational data and recording operating data.Perform UPW system data analysis and basic calculations for the UPW system performance, quality, and system capacity.Manage outside suppliers and vendors relative to the needs of the UPW system.Manage daily operations of all facilities semiconductor facilities systems including responding to system alarms and basic equipment troubleshooting to resolve alarm / abnormal situation.Perform UPW system equipment maintenance as assigned and use the FIIX CMMS systemApply advanced troubleshooting skills to determine root cause of equipment failures. Formulate repair strategies as well as formulate corrective & preventative maintenance plansMaintaining facility system uptime (on-line time) at 100%Operate forklift and personnel lift equipmentComplete repairs, maintenance projects and a wide range of assigned tasks related to semiconductor Facilities Systems / EquipmentChemical handling including : (1) wastewater treatment chemicals, (2) FAB bulk chemicals (process chemicals), and RODI treatment chemicals.Other Facilities Department operations, maintenance and project tasks as assigned by supervisor / manager.Job Req Type : ExperiencedRequired Travel : NoShift Type : COP (Continuous Opns.)The wage range for a new hire into this position is $35 to $48.
Actual wage offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, training, external market data, internal equity, or other bona fide factors.
This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors
