CNC Team Lead / Programmer - Swiss Machining Location : Tempe, AZ Pay : $33-$44 hourly Job Summary / Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Team Lead / Programmer specializing in Swiss machining to join our clients growing manufacturing team. This role will be responsible for setting up, operating, programming, and troubleshooting Swiss turning machines, as well as leading a team of machinists. This is a direct hire opportunity and not contracted / temp. 6. Responsibilities / Duties : Set up, operate, and program various Swiss turning machines. Develop and optimize CNC programs for Swiss-type lathes. Use precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges,CMM�s) to ensure part accuracy and quality. Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, including program errors and machine malfunctions. Perform routine maintenance on Swiss machines. Lead, mentor, and train a team of machinists. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., engineering, quality control) to ensure efficient production. Communicate effectively with clients regarding project specifications and timelines. Maintain accurate records of production runs and machine maintenance. Ensure a safe and clean working environment. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. 7. Qualifications / Requirements : Education : High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate's degree in machining preferred. Experience : 8+ years of experience as a CNC machinist, with a strong focus on Swiss-type lathes. 2+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred. Skills : Proficient in programming Swiss turning machines Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Expertise in using precision measuring tools. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations. Familiarity with various lathes, mills, grinders, and drills.
