What You Will Do

We are seeking a talented and experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FPA) and Business Intelligence (BI) Professional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role to the ingredients side of our business in driving strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis and actionable business intelligence within the natural foods / CPG sector

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Analyze financial performance, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key performance indicator (KPI) tracking, to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to drive business performance and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with Cost Accountant to provide detailed reporting of all standard variances across departments
  • Design and implement BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations, to enhance decision-making capabilities across the organization.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities to streamline financial reporting and analysis processes.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed, providing timely and accurate information to senior management and key stakeholders.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, business intelligence, or related roles within the natural foods / CPG industry or from investment banking specializing in CPG.
  • Experience with standard costing business models preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting, with advanced knowledge of Excel and financial planning software.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms, with the ability to design and develop impactful dashboards and reports.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability and willingness go travel to the San Diego office twice monthly
