Job Details

Responsibilities :

As a Construction Project Manager, you will be expected to :

1. Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation.

2. Allocate resources for assigned projects and supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.

3. Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.

4. Review and interpret project blueprints and technical documents to ensure project integrity.

5. Manage project costs, ensuring all aspects of the project are completed within the allocated budget.

6. Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.

7. Ensure construction activities move according to predetermined schedules.

8. Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.

9. Conduct quality control checks, identifying any potential issues or risks that could impact the quality or timing of project delivery.

10. Implement safety measures on the construction site and ensure all workers adhere to safety regulations.

11. Resolve any problems that may arise, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely project completion.

Qualifications :

To be considered for this role, you should have :

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on educational construction including K-12 and university construction.

2. Demonstrated expertise in project management, construction management, quality control, risk management, blueprint reading, cost control, project planning, and construction safety.

3. Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team.

4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a knack for resolving conflicts and ensuring smooth project execution.

5. Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey project details and expectations to team members and stakeholders.

7. Proficiency in contract management, with the ability to negotiate and manage project contracts effectively.

8. A strong customer service orientation, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

9. Experience in resource allocation, procurement, and construction site management.

10. A bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred. Professional certifications in project management or construction management are a plus.
