Provide tuberculosis nurse case management.
Handle coordination of services, including transportation and assistance in seeking eligibility for medical services.
Educate the community regarding public health services; may instruct specialized preventive health courses.
Develop and conduct lectures and demonstrations on new techniques for nurses in public or private clinics.
Coordinate public health services and training with other agencies and services.

Public Health Nurse IV ’s Qualifications

A bachelor of science degree in nursing and a current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas is required.

Four (4) years of experience as a practicing registered nurse is required.

Must have a Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
