Job Description
Interprets, recommends, and complies with ESH regulations and / or company policies, and provides ESH support and directions on new and maturing company contracts and programs.
Responsible for compliance with hazardous waste laws and regulations for numerous facility locations in California and Utah.
Review new processes and operations for environmental impacts.
Assists in planning for changes in physical facilities, reviewing new or modified equipment and new aerospace manufacturing programs to meet ESH requirements.
Represents the organization in providing solutions to technical ESH issues. Interacts with senior leadership and regulatory agencies.
Knowledge of environmental management system elements, risk assessment, controls, etc. such as ISO 14001.
Occasional travel and off-shift / weekend emergency coverage / response required. This is not a remote position as it requires on-site level support.

Desired skills
The candidate is considered an authority in multiple environmental and safety compliance program disciplines and knowledgeable in regulatory requirements.
Strong written and verbal skills. Self-starter, generally, works independently with minimal guidance.
Has experience resolving problems, leading projects, and teams. Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, and practicable.
Experience working in a represented workforce environment, and with Department of Defense customers, a plus.
