Yardstick is a boutique dog hotel providing a premium boarding and daycare experience to dogs and their parents. Launched in Nashville in 2022, we have a passion for dog hospitality and ambitions to scale our concept across the country - and Dallas is our next stop.
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to help us launch the Dallas market and manage the day-to-day operations of our first location in the Design District, with the expectation that this individual will play a key role in expanding our footprint across the greater DFW region.
Responsibilities
- Manage team of ~12 employees (full and part-time), including upfront training and ongoing development.
- Scheduling and labor cost management.
- Customer relations and guest satisfaction.
- Dog and employee safety.
- Facility management. Including supply purchasing and maintenance of a clean / sanitary facility.
- Community outreach and events. Candidate will be the day-to-day face of our first location.
- Work closely with CEO on business planning and process improvements.
Requirements
5+ years of people management experience.Prior experience in the pet services industry.Available to work nights, weekends and holidayswe are open 365 days a year.Excellent customer service and people skills.High integrity, trustworthy and dependable.Ambitious and excited by the prospect of building a business from the ground up.Other important information
