Job purpose

Our growing and thriving Optometry office is looking for a full-time Human Resource / Clinic Manager. This position entails general recruitment, hiring, and training of staff. The manager will also oversee the clinic area to ensure maximum patient flow.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Manage employee records, recruitment, onboarding, training, and staff development.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental data for timely salary disbursal and resolve HR inquiries.
  • Oversee performance evaluations, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Foster a positive work environment and handle staff disputes.
  • Act as a liaison between departments and address escalated patient concerns.
  • Collaborate with owners and managers to enforce policies and make decisions in the company’s best interest.
  • Supervise medical assistants, ensure adequate clinic tech coverage, and manage patient flow.
  • Ensure timely delivery of eRx, test results, referrals, and return calls.
  • Maintain clinic supplies, medication, samples, and medical equipment; ensure cleanliness and proper function.
  • Manage contact lens inventory, develop processes, and ensure quality control measures.
  • Assist with clinical tasks, maintain certifications, and finalize EHR documentation within three days.

    • Qualifications

  • At least 1 year experience in human resources
  • At least 1 year of  management / supervisory experience
  • At least 2 years of experience as a medical office assistant
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field can be advantageous

    • Working conditions

    The hours of operation is 8 : 30 – 5 : 30  Monday – Friday. The dress is Office attire. Assisting clinic technicians may be required from time to time.

    Physical requirements

    The ability to sit, stand, and move around the office for extended period of time will be required. Must be able to work in a fast pace environment.
