Soliant Education is currently seeking a highly qualified Educational Interpreter (ASL) for a 1 : 1 role with a student in the Federal Wayarea. This position is for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year , and we are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team!
Responsibilities :
Provide 1 : 1 interpretation services for a student who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
Facilitate communication between the student and peers, teachers, and staff using American Sign Language (ASL).
Ensure full participation in classroom activities, including academic and social interactions.
Assist with the students individualized learning plan and communicate any necessary adjustments to the educational team.
Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
Requirements :
4.0 EIPA or NIC / RID certification required.
Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
Previous experience working with students in educational settings preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a school-based environment and collaborate with teachers and staff.
Passion for supporting students' educational and social growth.
Compensation & Benefits :
Pay is $45-$55 per hour, negotiable based on experience, qualifications, and other factors.
Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance , 401k plan, and weekly pay .
This is a contract position for the 2024-2025 school year .
