A company is looking for a Coding Representative.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately code ambulance transport and determine the correct payer responsible for billingAssign appropriate diagnosis codes, modifiers, and levels of service based on EMS documentationEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while collaborating with management and departmentsRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredOne (1) year of medical billing experience preferred; medical transportation billing experience is a plusKnowledge of HIPAA requirements and compliance regulationsAbility to utilize accounts receivable billing systems and internet tools effectivelyExperience in coding and processing claims in the Accounts Receivable Billing System
