Description
As a member of the Menzies Aviation Fuel Farm Mechanic Team you will be responsible for performing periodic maintenance and inspections on filters, pumps, valves, tanks, pressure controls, metering and gauging equipment, and company vehicles. You will be required to maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair above mentioned equipment as well as pipeline issues, electrical equipment, motors, switch gears, and lightingRepairs and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment on fuel hydrant systems facilities / systems including product related equipment on fuel vacuum vehiclesInvestigate and adjust customer complaints / concerns regarding fuel systems maintenanceDiagnose problems using test equipment, statistical, equipment history, manufactures specifications and industry related standardsFollow company and departmental safety policies and proceduresMaintain records relating to maintenanceSupport Quality Control and Fuel System OperatorsAbility to meet the Station’s attendance standardsSupervisor Responsibility : Assist Department Manager, in his / her absence, by performing basic supervisory skills and communicate the operational status and objectives to Base ManagementDuties are commensurate with that of military Liquid Fuels Maintenance (LFM) TechnicianQualifications
Must be 18 years of ageMust possess and maintain valid US driver’s licenseMust pass all pre-employment testing including a physical, color vision test, audio test and drug testAbility to proficiently read, write and speak EnglishHandle fueling carts and fueling hoses which will require you to lift and move up to 70lbsAbility to perform basic math calculationsMust pass background check and obtain US Custom sealExperience and understanding of industrial process controls, communication, and automation, particularly those commonly used in the petroleum industryAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, loss / gains, inventories, inches / feet to gallons / barrels conversions, proportions, percentages, areas, weights, lengths, diameters, radius, circumferences, flow rates, pressures, voltage, amperes, watts, resistance and volumes in standard and volumes in standard and metricWork is done primarily outdoors; must be comfortable working in all weather conditionsMust be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges / sealsMust have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experienceGas Engines / Diesel Mechanic experience preferredPLC and computer experience preferredElectronics experience preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly work in outside weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, high voltages and high hydraulic / pneumatic pressures. The employee is also frequently exposed to very loud noise levels, fumes or airborne particles and hazardous substances, materials or waste. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places.
Under the daily supervision of the Maintenance Manager with assistance as needed from the Station Manager. Performs periodic maintenance and inspections on filters, pumps, valves, tanks, pressure controls, metering and gauging equipment, company vehicles. Troubleshoot and repair above mentioned equipment as well as pipeline issues, electrical equipment, motors, switch gear, and lighting. Ensures that all work assigned is performed in a timely fashion with quality workmanship. Ensure through definitive methods that product meets or exceeds quality standards set forth; ensure all work is completed in a timely manner, contributing to an efficient operation, while projecting a professional image for MENZIES AVIATION.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with arms, climb or balance; and talk or hear.
The individual must also be able to open and close large valve on 16" product delivery pipelines quickly. Opening and closing these valves involves twisting and pulling motion and sometimes considerable physical exertion.
Other tasks include digging and shoveling, such as snow removal around equipment and office. Employee may also engage in debris removal which involves lifting, bending and stooping. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 25lbs and occasionally lift and / or move up to 70lbs.
