Job Description
Lockheed Martin is seeking a motivated and driven Quality Engineer for a position based in Grand Prairie, TX.
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for leading and implementing advanced Quality Engineering initiatives within the Precision Fires Advanced Programs, significant development programs with the potential to be a franchise programs with support working development Proposals and BOE's.
The Quality Engineer will collaborate and partner with other functions including Program Manager, Proposal Manager, Contracts, Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production Operations and Customers.
What You Will Be Doing
The position will require working flexible hours and travel out of the assigned geographical area to support suppliers across the United States.

Desired skills
STEM degree at bachelor's level or higher preferred.
Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification or ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
Practical interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration
Practical communication skills - written, oral, listening, and presentation
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Strong problem-solving skills
SAP / ERP, SharePoint Tableau, or other business intelligence software experience
Strong familiarity with Production Operations
Experience with Program Office / Customer Interaction, preferably DOD
An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers (including acceptance of product / testing)
Thorough understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems as well as AS9145 Advanced Product Quality Planning
Experience with the use of inspection gages and measuring equipment
Earned Value Management System Cost Account Manager (EVMS CAM) certification
Familiar with requirements for handling and control of Government Furnished Equipment / Property during field, ground, or operational tests
Ability to obtain an international driver's license
