The Cordova Recreation & Park District (CRPD) is seeking high energy, reliable, and service-oriented candidates to work in our recreation programs for Camp Cordova Junior (ages 6-8) and Camp Cordova Original (ages 9-12) summer programs. Camp Cordova features daily activities including arts and crafts, interactive games, and sports and water activities.

Typical Schedule : The program is scheduled for nine (9) weeks from Monday, June 2, 2025 through Friday, August 1, 2025 with weekday shifts between the hours of 7 : 45 a.m.- 5 : 30 p.m. Mandatory staff training will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 9 : 00 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m.
NOTE : Possession of First Aid / CPR / AED certification is required.
Summary Description
Under direction of a Recreation Supervisor and Recreation Coordinator, leads a variety of recreational program activities involved in the implementation of recreational programs at one or more facilities including sports, special events, day camps, splash parks, arts and crafts, and other recreational programs and activities; provides on-site supervision for program implementation; sets-up and issues equipment for recreational activities; and maintains records and reports.
Distinguishing Characteristics
Recreation Leader I is the entry level class in the Recreation Leader series. This class is distinguished from the Recreation Leader II by the performance of the more routine tasks and duties assigned to positions within the series.

Possession of First Aid / CPR / AED certification.

Sick Leave : All part-time and seasonal employees will be issued forty (40) hours of sick leave upon their date of hire and reinstated every one year anniversary to be available for the following twelve months not to exceed a 40 hour cap. Sick leave may not be used until after 90 days of the original hire date.
