We are currently hiring friendly, motivated Full-Time & Part-Time Cashiers / Front of House Team Members to join the team at our new Slim Chickens restaurant in Grimes, IA!

Slim Chickens is a leading national brand in the fast-growing emerging 'better chicken' fast-casual segment. This is a great opportunity for starting and growing a career in the restaurant field.

We are looking for full-time and part-time Cashiers / Front of House Team Members. We are particularly looking for Cashiers / Front of House Team Members, and we pay a competitive wage :

Part-Time, Front of House : $15.00 to $17.00 per hour

Full-Time, Front of House : $16.00 to $18.00 per hour

    • YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR CASHIER

    The cashier, whether in the restaurant lobby or the drive thru, is the first person our guests interact with! We are looking for friendly, engaging cashiers / front of house team members to perform the following job duties :

    Responsibilities of a Cashier / Front of House Team Member :

  • Greeting customers when entering and leaving the premises
  • Taking orders on the drive thru headset
  • Taking orders on the point of sale in the lobby
  • Interacting with all guests in a friendly manner
  • Managing transactions using a cash register
  • Balancing the cash register
  • Accepting payments in cash, credit or check
  • Providing change and receipts
  • Filling drinks and making shakes
  • Processing returns and refunds, and resolving customer complaints
  • Upselling and cross-selling when appropriate

    • Cashier / Front of House Team Member Job Requirements :

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Experience with POS systems and cash registers
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Good math skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to effectively resolve complaints
  • No restaurant experience is required; we will train you!
