About the Role

We are looking for a skilled startup operator who can lead the way in ensuring that Flourish health is compliant with all state requirements for our existing states as well as the states we expand into. You will be a one-person team. This means that you will be doing both high level strategic work with the c-suite as well as mundane execution. You will own full responsibility for the follow through.

Responsibilities :

Own billing operations, which requires incredibly well created operations to result in a swift billing cycle. Flourish’s success as a company hinges on the billing cycle being less than 30 days from service delivery to payment collected. This includes :

  • Ensuring Flourish Health is registered with Medicaid and credentialed with the healthplan
  • Collecting data on which of our patients are eligible for billing based on their engagement, reviewing edge cases with internal stakeholders
  • Submitting claims within 1 business day of patient meeting internal engagement criteria
  • Mobilizing stakeholders to solve any blockers
  • Own state expansions, which requires extraordinary project management, multi-stakeholder management, strategy and nuance, all while maintaining our operational excellence in both new and existing states. This includes :

  • Licensing Flourish Health as an organization in new states
  • Credentialing Flourish Health with regional and national payors
  • Registering Flourish Health with medicaid in new states
  • Licensing therapists and psychiatrists in new states
  • Credentialing therapists and psychiatrists with regional and national payers
  • Credentialing individual therapists and psychiatrists in new states
  • Registering individual therapists and psychiatrists with medicaid in new states
  • Own Flourish being in good standing with existing state stakeholders such as state licensing boards, state Medicaid, and state health plans. This includes :

  • Therapist licensure renewals and CEU management system
  • Psychiatrist licensure renewals
  • Psychiatrist DEA licensure renewals
  • Health plan credentialing problem solving for existing states
  • Medicaid registration problem solving for existing states
  • Skills :

  • Demonstrate startup adaptability, being able to prioritize and reprioritize when things change, manage time based on priorities, and reframe adversity as a growth opportunity
  • Set the bar for excellent project management including : identifying roles in the RACI model, distributing work, setting expectations with collaborators, keeping accessible and updated documentation, and communicating updates to stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively, including with : assertive communication, active listening, validation
  • Engage in healthy conflict and conflict resolution
  • Give compassionate, direct feedback; receive feedback mindfully; take accountability for your missteps; give grace for others’ missteps
  • Embody the confident humility to engage in problem solving and ask for help
  • Lead change management effectively, leveraging the strengths of other team members and building trust across the company
  • Role Requirements :

  • Has served as a senior leader at a startup before
  • Professional with 10+ years of relevant experience, including 10+ years of people management
