Join an enthusiastic team looking to make a difference in the lives of today’s Military Medical Team! CACI is looking for a Network / System Administrator to work onboard the USNS COMFORT (T-AH-20), stationed at Norfolk Naval Base, to provide IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services on USNS COMFORT (T-AH-20) IT Systems. Required international travel up to 70% onboard an afloat platform.
The project is within CACI's Healthcare Delivery Systems portfolio.
What You’ll Get to Do :
Support Military Health System (MHS) applications, training and system maintenance including back-up recovery, account maintenance and application upgrade support.
Requires the implementation and ongoing maintenance of infrastructure required to surge manpower capacity by 96% (From a crew of 65 to 1,350) in less than 72 hours in support of disaster response operations, while maintaining integrity of protected information and auditing systems.
Provide “Tier 3” support for embedded network systems onboard USNS COMFORT.
Ensure all applicable information systems are being installed, maintained, and operated in accordance with applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides, Program of Record configurations, or Authority to Operate guidelines.
Develop and maintain System Administrative (SA) guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Network Architecture diagrams.
Perform routine hardware maintenance / troubleshooting and operating system upgrades for the MTF network systems.
Perform customer support services with the onboard MTF network users.
Provide initial training on MTF operations to new staff embarked.
Harden the network IAW with IA standards / mandates.
Install, load, maintain, upgrade, test, troubleshoot, and provide IA support for the MTF networks.
Utilize ACAS for vulnerability scanning purposes.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications :
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense SECRET security clearance.
Basic understanding of IT fundamentals – hardware (servers, switches, routers, etc.), software, networks, databases, SAN storage, applications, Virtual machines
8 years of relevant experience
Experience in the administration of Server 2016 (deploying and patching)
Intermediate knowledge of networking
Experience in the administration of :
Virtualization (build and maintain Windows Server virtual machines)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge and / or understanding of how domain systems communicate
Demonstrate the ability to resolve issues independently with little or no supervision
Education and Experience :
8+ years’ experience
Required Education : IT Training and / or certification
Desired Education : BS
You may substitute experience for degree permitted (8+ years relevant experience required in this case).
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have :
Experience in maintaining US Navy Board of Inspection and Survey, and DoD Inspector General independent audits of HIPAA compliance and classified material control.
Possess current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ex. Security+ CE)
Ability to assist on short notice, work overtime for emergencies ( Power loss, Network Outages, System Failures)
Prior Navy IT experience
At least one of the following certifications :
Microsoft MCP / MCSA / MCSE Certification
Network+
Previous experience with Afloat Naval POR Systems (NIAPS, HBSS, ACAS).
