Job description

Job Description The position exists as a liaison amongst prospective graduate students, corporate partners and

enterprise partnerships, and the institution as whole. The Assistant Director for Graduate

Admissions will help recruit students by attending graduate school fairs, career fairs, and

individual appointments in the effort to create awareness of graduate education at Saint Peter’s

University. They will serve as a key point of contact for prospective students as they move

through various stages of the enrollment funnel. The Assistant Director will be an integral part of

the graduate admissions team and meeting the university graduate enrollment goals. This

position will also be instrumental in executing recruitment strategies that produce a pipeline of

prospective students – telecounseling, visiting with business partners, graduate admission fairs

in-person and virtual), and other events.

Range : $30.22 – $32.97 Duties & Responsibilities PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Provide admissions counseling to prospective students on campus.
  • Coordinate with the campus admissions office and enrollment services to facilitate

consistent delivery of admissions services.

  • Participate at fairs, new student orientations, open houses, and instant decision days to
  • market and recruit for assigned program(s).

  • Plans and coordinates informational workshops, college visitations and tours, business
  • and industry visits, etc., to inform the public about educational opportunities within an

    assigned program.

  • Distribute brochures, promotional flyers, and related material.
  • Process applications and related materials utilizing Slate; communicate with applicants
  • regarding the status of their application and required documents.

  • Manage file and document tracking with each academic program and enrollment
  • services.

  • Maintain accurate prospect and applicant data within the student information system as
  • well as any additional technology solution.

  • Assist with developing and managing a student-volunteer base of current graduate
  • students who will help recruit and represent graduate studies and education at Saint

    Peter’s University.

  • Participate in intra-office as well as community-wide meetings to represent the graduate
  • admission office as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned. Qualification Standards QUALIFICATIONS :
  • A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (written and spoken) to a variety of
  • constituents.

  • At least 1 – 2 years of relevant experience in an office setting, preferably within a
  • college / university setting.

  • Strong organizational skills and great attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a high level of professionalism.
  • A demonstrated comfort with utilizing technology such as Microsoft Office Suite and
  • Google Workspace.

  • Previous experience working within a Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • software preferred.

  • A valid driver’s license and an ability to travel.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with a strong interest in working as a
  • member of a team Education

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
