ABOUT THE ROLE
This position supports the agency bill process and plays a key role in managing incoming client payments to ensure timely payments to insurance carriers. This role also performs various accounting tasks that contribute to maintaining the agency's financial health. The position reports to the Accounting Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Works check request submitted by staff to process return premiums to clients, overpayments of premiums to clients, advances of premium to company or broker, or commission / return premiums to finance company.Coordinates with staff to ensure client payments are applied to transactions and remitted to insurance carriers by their due date.Reconcile and pay insurance company statements and invoices and confirm payments are accounted for and correctly posted. Also, monitor credits owed and received from insurance carriers.WHAT YOU NEED
High school diploma or equivalent.One year of related experience.Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office suite, with an aptitude for learning new software and systems.Preferred QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting
3 years of experience working in an accounting departmentPrevious property & casualty insurance experience is idealApplied Epic Insurance software experience.JOIN OUR TEAM
