IT Technology Support Analyst

POSITION INFORMATION : Provides endpoint computing support for the School of Community Medicine / OU Health Physicians Tulsa via an IT Memorandum of Understanding agreement by assisting with, troubleshooting, assisting students, faculty, and staff, maintaining an inventory, performing laptop encryptions for faculty, staff, and residents.This individual will assist in endpoint related projects and assist in risk and vulnerability remediation.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES :

  • Troubleshooting :   Troubleshoot PC hardware, software, printer and peripheral problems and network connectivity issues for users in person, remote assistance tool and by phone, assisting Service Desk with support calls and emails regarding IT systems. Interacts with Clinical Applications Support team for client needs.
  • Endpoint Security : Assists to identify security and resolve issues.
  • Problem Resolution : Installs and maintains endpoint security software, patches, and settings. Performs endpoint vulnerability resolution on university owned systems.
  • Deployment : Configure, deploy, manage, and support computing hardware following IT standards. Performs encryption of university computers and supported mobile devices.
  • Software Installation :   Installs University-owned software on University-owned PCs.
  • Inventory Maintenance .Maintains an inventory of university-owned endpoints in IT’s ITSM application.Keeps inventory and maintenance records on all PCs. Maintains inventory of personally owned mobile devices used for university business and shared equipment in a proper state of functionality. Performs surplus process and maintains related documentation.
  • Equipment moves :   Relocate PC hardware for users.
  • As Needed. Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Job Requirements

Qualifications :

Required Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or closely related field, AND :

  • 36 months of experience in, the operation, installation and repair of advanced microcomputer equipment and systems.
  • Equivalency&Substitution : Will accept equivalent education and experience in lieu of Bachelor's (48 months experience / education).

    Preferences :

  • Excellent customer service delivery.
  • Highly proficient on MS Windows and Mac OS desirable.
  • Must be able to follow directions and work as part of a team.
  • Perform computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Verbal communication by phone and in person.
  • Familiarity with encryption software.
  • Professional manner and appearance.
