Description :

The Warranty Administrator contributes to the success of the entire dealership by being responsible for all processes involving warranty claims. The ideal Warranty administrator is organized, detail-oriented and capable of working individually in a fast-paced environment to process warranty claims to the manufacturers.

Warranty Administrator Responsibilities :

  • Processes warranty claims on a timely basis and with accuracy
  • Processes all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation
  • Verifies criteria required by manufacturer
  • Reconciles all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule.
  • Posts credits.
  • Resubmits all rejected claims promptly or receives authorization to write them off.
  • Review all warranty receivable schedules to ensure payment within 30 days
  • Follows up on payment of outstanding claims.
  • Files and maintains all service records as required by the warrantor.
  • Keeps informed of all factory recalls and bulletins.
  • Assists with any clerical needs as directed by the fixed operations manager or the controller.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements :

Warranty Administrator Qualifications :

  • 3+ years of automotive warrant admin experience at a dealership.
  • Proficient computer skills (Including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.)
  • Prior experience with CDK database systems is preferred.
  • Process driven, motivated and have outstanding attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow strict process and policy procedures and to work independently, as well as in a team.
  • Communication Proficiency, listening, speaking, and writing effectively
