The Collections Specialist is responsible for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts through correspondence (via email and phone) within a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
Job Scope
- Provide excellent customer service to Field Service Center teams through clear communication and follow-up regarding accounts
- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with Field Service Center teams, Cash Application and other Shared Services team members
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Company's Total Quality Management process with the goal of reducing costs, improving cycle time, increasing sales, and overall customer satisfaction
- Carry out the policies and procedures of Company
Responsibilities
Monitor and review assigned accounts on a daily basis to prevent late payments and resolve past-due balancesCollect outstanding receivables on a daily basis through, email, phone and written communication and follow up in a timely mannerMaintain documentation of customer correspondencePartner with the field locations and customers to solve discrepancies, reconcile account adjustments and obtain necessary information to facilitate the payment processAssist in the resolution of cash application issues identified by the customerReconcile Customer disputes as they pertain to payment of outstanding balances dueMeet defined department goals and activity metricsEngage in analysis of account information and makes recommendations for problem resolution or process improvementQualifications
