Pay Range : Starting at $16.00-$17.00 per hour depending on experience

      Responsibilities

      As the Front Desk Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact, setting the tone for an exceptional optical journey. Your responsibilities will include :

    • Greet patients, check patients in and out
    • Schedule patient appointments; ensure smooth flow
    • Gather medical history and reason for the visit
    • Verify insurance information for each patient
    • Answer and forward all calls; oversee voicemail and messages
    • Prepare patients to be seen by the Optometrist
    • Assist the Optometrist as needed during examinations
    • Show patients how to properly care for contact lens
    • Required Skills

    • Must have a high school diploma or GED
    • Must have 6+ months prior experience in an Optometry, Ophthalmology or Medical office practice
    • Friendly and outgoing with the ability to connect with a diverse group of people
    • Efficient, organized and resourceful with strong attention to detail
    • Knowledge of computer operations; proficient in basic word processing, data entry and automated records
