VPG seeks a results-driven Senior Managing Director to lead our global Thermo-Mechanical Simulator business unit.

This is an on-site position is seated at DSI in Poestenkill, NY.

As the Senior Managing Director , this position will :

  • Lead global P&L business unit focused on Thermo-Mechanical simulators for steel mills and materials labs, overseeing sales, marketing, operations, and engineering while developing strategic initiatives to optimize market potential and profitability within budget.
  • Oversee all DSI functions : sales, business development, marketing, engineering, and operations.
  • Manage worldwide sales teams, field service, and technical support while collaborating with engineering and quality teams to improve processes and control costs.
  • Drive operational excellence through production efficiency and inventory control while working cross-functionally with global teams including Finance, HR, IT, and Logistics.
  • Develop and execute annual business plans.
  • Implement VPG corporate policies within the DSI site.
  • Drive long-term growth strategies.

  • Revenue and sales performance.
  • Profitability and cost control.

  • Engineering degree (Mechanical, Materials, or Physics preferred) + MBA.
  • 3+ years of P&L management, preferably as a General Manager.
  • Strong industry experience with machinery manufacturing or capital equipment companies
