Must have basic knowledge of the job of a Cath lab nurse as in preparing patients for catheterization angioplasty and pacemaker implantations. Must assist physician in the catheterization angioplasty and pacemaker implantations processes. Must keep patient calm and relaxed during procedure where they re required to be awake. As a senior Cath lab nurse must administer appropriate medicine when needed. Must be able perform proper after procedure care. Must check vital signs of the patient with proper care. Provide education about medications and care to the patients and families before the discharge.

Call is 6 : 10 weekday shifts per schedule (6 weeks) and 1 weekend per 6 weeks. JOB SUMMARY The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional who uses the BSWH nursing professional practice model to coordinate patient care delivery by the health care team. Using the nursing process the RN assesses the patient identifies nursing diagnoses based on responses to health problems develops and implements an individualized plan of care and evaluates the patients response. The RN promotes safe passage for their patients by using knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment to assist patients to transition through the healthcare encounter without any preventable complications or delays.
