Position requirements :

tManage a team of accounting clerks.

tP&L Review Monthly.

tBalance Sheet review Monthly.

tReconcile multiple bank accounts.

tEnsure accuracy of postings by team.

tEnsure all bank transactions are posted daily via download from bank.

tWork with clients as needed.

t7 years experience in accounting (month end close).

As Controller, you will support financial staff in all financial matters by working with the CFO and other officers to set up control systems and manage company financial records. You will work to ensure that company accounting and financial processes are in legal compliance and in accordance with the best accounting practices.

Duties and responsibilities

tCreating financial statements for clients as well as upper management

tPreparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports

tAssisting Financial Managers with budgeting

tEnsuring all accounting practices follow legal guidelines and established accounting principles.

tAssisting with billing and tax documentation preparation

tWorking with the company financial team to create internal controls and policies.

tCollaborating with the IT department to maintain financial records and system processes.

tIdentifying solutions to discrepancies in financial records

Skills and Qualifications

tExpert knowledge of accounting and financial principles, regulations, and best practices

tExcellent understanding of governmental guidelines and tax laws that affect the client.

tHighly organized with keen attention to detail

tProficient with data analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving

tExcellent communication and interpersonal skills

tProficient in basic office and accounting software programs

tCollaboration and teamwork skills

Education and Experience :

tMust have an associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

t7 years' experience in accounting (month-end close).

tAdvanced Excel knowledge is a plus.
