Responsibilities

  • Support daily manufacturing operations by performing hands-on work with space flight hardware, tools, and equipment
  • Help operate various CNC equipment and maintain quality standards for machined parts
  • Perform de-burring and polishing of machined parts to ensure a smooth finish and compliance with specifications
  • Clean parts using precision cleaning processes to maintain high-quality standards before assembly or further machining
  • Operate and maintain various tools and equipment, including hand and power tools, assembly fixtures, and basic machinery
  • Interpret basic engineering drawings and specifications to assist in the assembly and fabrication of machined parts and assemblies
  • Assist in inventory management and prepare materials for machining processes
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work environment, adhering to 5S standards and supporting workplace safety
  • Provide input and feedback for process improvements and efficiency enhancements
  • Operate forklift for material handling and movement as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 2+ years of work experience in a manufacturing or mechanical fabrication environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks involving manual labor
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Basic problem-solving skills and the ability to implement solutions quickly
  • Preferred Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years' of demonstrated experience working in an aerospace production environment
  • Familiarity with basic fabrication tools and processes (fabrication, electric / pneumatic power tools, and welding)
  • Understanding of precision cleaning and finishing processes for aerospace components
  • Experience with machinery in a shop environment
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Additional Information :

  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as required to support critical milestones
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (8 hours minimum)
  • Comfortable with lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching as part of the job
  • Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options , and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan .
