Part-Time Logistics Coordinator

Location : Bloomfield, CT (On-Site)

Hours : 15-25 hours per week

Reports To : Finance

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Part-Time Logistics Coordinator to help streamline our freight operations, optimize shipping costs, and improve delivery efficiencies.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage freight relationships, negotiate carrier rates, and track shipping expenses. This role is crucial in ensuring cost-effective and timely deliveries while maintaining high service levels with our logistics partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain relationships with freight carriers, negotiating competitive rates.
  • Monitor and analyze freight expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Track and report logistics KPIs, including shipping costs, on-time delivery rates, and freight claims.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, and customer service) to streamline logistics processes.
  • Implement strategies to improve shipping efficiencies and reduce transit times.
  • Resolve freight-related issues, including claims, delays, and service disruptions.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, shipping regulations, and best practices.
  • Coordinate import / export logistics, ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations and customs requirements.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, freight coordination, or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to reduce shipping costs.
  • Experience handling LTL, FTL, small parcel and international shipping.
  • Proficiency in logistics software, freight tracking tools, and Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
