The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos is actively seeking a talented Senior High-Performance Computing System Administrator to join our dynamic team on a compelling High-Performance Computing (HPC) program. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, adaptable thinking, sound judgment, and a collaborative spirit to enhance our customers' HPC capabilities.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee critical infrastructure services, ensuring superior availability and performance across data center operations, including physical and virtual server environments and storage solutions.
- Lead medium-to-large scale projects; develop and enforce system policies; engage in advanced troubleshooting; and play a crucial role in recovery efforts during critical system outages.
- Provide mentoring and support to Tier I, II, and III staff members.
- Work independently and collaboratively within larger teams to efficiently complete projects.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with twelve (12) years of experience in a complex IT environment, or a master's degree with ten (10) years of experience. Candidates without a degree must possess five (5) years of full-time computer science experience and a minimum of ten (10) years in a similarly complex IT setting, providing recognized expertise.Proven experience in installation, configuration, tuning, and support of :Multi-vendor servers managing a variety of COTS, open source, and in-house applications tailored for HPC support.Multi-vendor servers operating on Redhat or SUSE, with experience in direct attached, FC SAN storage, or SSDs.Distributed computing tools such as RES, LSF, and SLURM.HPC farms, MPP clustered systems, and Front End servers for SPDs.IBM or HP Blade servers with FC / SAS / Network back-end configurations.Multi-vendor file systems like XFS, GPFS, and Lustre.Pre-Factory testing, factory testing, system integration, and acceptance testing processes when procuring HPC systems.IAT Level II Certification is a must. Valid certifications include RHCSA or higher Red Hat certification, and / or VMware certification.Must hold a TS / SCI clearance with FS polygraph.Original Posting Date : 2025-01-10

Pay Range : $112,450.00 - $203,275.00
