SV Microwave, a division of Amphenol, is that company and is seeking a motivated western US regional sales management professional to accelerate our growth within new markets as well as increase sales within existing accounts.
The ideal candidate will have an engineering / technical background, technical sales experience in the electronics industry, the desire to travel and interface with customers and channel partners, and be able to drive rapid growth. You will be supported by a strong, dedicated team of professionals. A Phoenix, Arizona location is strongly preferred, but candidates located in the western US with access to a major airport will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate sales strategy across regional sales resources consisting of direct outside sales personnel, Manufacturers Reps, and distributors
- Utilize data mining and analytics to identify new market / customer opportunities
- Actively manage the demand creation pipeline
- Achieve or exceed region sales and gross margin targets
- Maintain active and regular territory visit schedule
- Coordinate across SV functional departments, and Amphenol divisions, to maximize capture rate on new opportunities and ensure repeat business
- Provide project management oversight on customer business execution as needed
- Prepare and present monthly forecast
- Create and execute the sales elements of the multi-year Strategic Plan
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or BusinessSelf-starter with focused analytical problem solving skills5 to 10 years of technical sales experience in the Electronics industry; RF / MW industry experience preferred but not requiredStrong written and verbal communication skills as well as computer and presentation skills (Excel / PowerPoint)Ability to travel 50% with overnight staysPotential to work from home office in a major metro area with access to major airportSV Offers
