Job descriptionAnnual Salary for beginning Communications Officers is $37,180.30 base- non negotiable (effective October 1st), with the addition of holiday compensation of $ 2,220.24 for a total salary of $39,400.24 Vacation and Sick leave for Full time employees only Florida State Retirement Health, dental, vision and supplemental insurance is available for full time employees only Direct Deposit College tuition may be available
To apply you must :
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a valid Florida Driver’s License
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Must not meet any of the disqualifier as indicated on the employment application
- If hired, must become State Certified within 12 months of being hired and maintain certification
- If hired, must take a Basic FCIC class (offered during training), pass the basic exam and maintain certification
- All applicants will be required to take and pass a computerized skills test.

Benefits :
Full time positions are on a rotating schedule, 12 hour shifts. We do not have permanent shifts. All communications officers will rotate between day and evening shift every 3 months after
placed on a shift.These positions will work weekends, holidays and nights. These positions are also required to work during civil unrest, natural disasters to include, but not limited to :
Hurricanes, Tornados, Floods, etc...
