Adjunct Math Professor

Job description

The Adjunct Math Professor is a part-time position. All adjunct positions are hired on an as-needed basis. A qualified applicant will have a master's degree in Math and, preferably, a doctor degree in the field of Math.

Qualifications : >

Possesses an earned master's or higher degree in Math; doctoral degree in Math preferred. >

Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction.

Responsibilities

Facilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with university policy and course objectives.

Makes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.

Must attend Faculty meetings when scheduled.

Updates syllabi and lesson plans accordingly.

Maintains accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.

Agrees to hold office hours and make themselves for students when necessary.

Returns all calls within 24 hours.

Engages with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and leads to a positive experience within University of the Potomac.

Interacts with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complies with college policies, campus guidelines and expectations.

Courses are for 8 weeks. The adjunct pay range is $1500 - $2000 per course.
