Software & Web Development Intern (Onsite role based in Allen, TX)

Castelion is building next-generation hypersonic missile systems to bring peace through deterrence. As we rapidly develop and scale, we are seeking a highly motivated Software & Web Development Intern to support our software and infrastructure efforts. This role provides an opportunity to work on real-world engineering challenges, collaborating closely with our engineering and operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain internal web applications and dashboards to support engineering and test operations.
  • Assist in building and optimizing software infrastructure, including cloud-based tools and automation.
  • Support database management, API development, and front-end / back-end web services.
  • Collaborate with engineers to improve workflow efficiency and software toolsets.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software and web applications as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field .
  • Experience with web development technologies such as JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python, or Flask / Django .
  • Knowledge of databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, Firebase, or MongoDB) .
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI / CD tools is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Interest in aerospace, defense, or high-performance computing is a bonus.

Capable of tactfully managing relationships with stakeholders to achieve company-desired outcomes without compromising relationships. Emails, IMs and verbal interactions are logical, drive clarity, and detailed enough to eliminate ambiguity.

    ITAR Requirements :

  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
