Stantec is seeking an Architectural Project Manager to join our growing team in our Orlando , FL office. The Project Manager is a licensed professional with responsibility for project performance in terms of profit, quality, and client satisfaction. The role primarily involves management of the internal team and external consultants while working with the principal in charge in interfacing with the client. The Project Manager may be called upon to manage one or more projects of various complexity and scope. They are expected to have a broad set of experience and knowledge. This is a leadership role that requires oversight, guidance and mentoring of others. Plans, organizes, and directs project work to include :

Your Opportunity

The Project Manager is responsible for supporting the US Federal government's Military Program, focusing on the planning, design, and construction of facilities and infrastructure for the US Department of Defense throughout the US and the world in developing and implementing program components to support the program's strategic direction, as well as creating and delivering on long-term business objectives. The Project Manager will act as a coordinator between multiple internal teams (BOUs, BCs) involved in military facilities and infrastructure (MF&I) projects and external entities (USACE, NAVFAC, USAF, USCG) at a business organizational level to ensure they are benefitting each other and aligning with overall goals.

Oversight responsibilities include Project Delivery, Project Management, Technical Discipline Expertise, Staff Resourcing, Risk Management, Training, Positioning and Pursuits. The Program Management Team contributes to growth of Stantec's MF&I program across all federal accounts.

The Project Manager will work with the US Federal Account Managers and the Program Manager to develop and implement strategies related to the consistent delivery of projects to meet the US Federal Program's compliance and business objectives. In addition, the Program Management Team will be responsible for collaborating across internal business units to align planning and the allocation of resources.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing complex tasks on medium to large size projects.
• Plans, organizes, and directs the work throughout the life of the project to successfully deliver the project to the client.
• Keeps the Principal in Charge informed of progress on project expectations, deadlines, and deliverables and understands the limits of the decision-making responsibilities of the role and respects the boundaries of the Principal in Charge's responsibilities.
• Leads the client and project team to assure that the project design meets the client budget, schedule, program, and design intent.
• Assists in the negotiation and development of project agreements.
• Develops and manages project budget, schedule, and overall work plan to realize target financial performance.
• Mentors Assistant Project Managers and motivates project teams.
• Assures that Stantec's Project Management Framework tasks are timely completed and properly documented.
• Leads project coordination and owner / site meetings with internal team members and / or external consultants, owner and contractor and sub-contractors.
• Manages and tracks change orders, applications for payment by contractors and other contractual modifications impacting budget and schedule.
• Works with local leadership in determining project staffing needs and recommending personnel.
• Directs client invoicing and effectively manages collections.
• Travel to projects in other states for client meetings and site visits. Travel by air and car required.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
