Payroll Specialist- Kansas City Metro Area
LHH is partnering with a client in the Kansas City Metro area who is seeking a Payroll Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes for both union and nonunion employees & multi-state, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, and maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities :
- Process payroll for union and nonunion employees, multi-state, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity.
- Calculate wages, overtime, and deductions accurately.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee payroll-related inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure accurate employee data and payroll processing.
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary changes to payroll processes.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.3+ years of payroll processing experience, with a focus on both union and nonunion payroll.Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.Experience with payroll software and systems.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.Job Details :

Compensation : $65-80,000 annually
Job Type : Direct Hire
Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, fully onsite
Benefits : Health, Dental, Vision, STD / LTD
Pay Details : $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
