Pride Health is hiring a Med-Surg and Step-Down RN to support our client’s medical facility in Hartford, CT. This contract opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

- Location : Hartford, CT - 06102
- Job Type : Contract
- Duration : 13 weeks
- Specialty : Hospital Float Pool - Cardiology, Neuro, Surgical Trauma, ED Inpatient boarders, and PACU Inpatient boarders
- Schedule : 36 hours per week / / Assignments are given in 4-hour blocks based upon census and acuity needs / / Block schedules are not offered as a standard, but can often accommodate some scheduling needs
- Pay Range for locals : $48.00 - $52.30 per hour
- Pay Range for travelers : $1,908.00- $2,126.16 per week
- Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
Requirements :
At least 3 years of Level 1 trauma experience in an 800+ beds facility as an RN – requiredState of Connecticut RN license – requiredBasic Life Support - BLS (AHA) – requiredAdvanced Cardiac Life Support – ACLS (AHA) – requiredArrhythmia Certification – RequiredNational Institutes of Health Stroke Scale - NIHSS – requiredStep-Down trained – requiredMUST be proficient with EPIC (additional training is not offered if the Epic skills exam is failed) – requiredMUST pass the following specialty skills exam : Medication Administration, Arrhythmia (Tele) and Step-Down Challenge Exam – requiredResponsibilities :
Provide high-acuity patient care in a Level 1 trauma facility across multiple specialties, including cardiology, neuro, surgical trauma, and ED / PACU inpatient boarders.Float between Med / Surg and Step Down units based on census and acuity needs, with assignments given in 4-hour blocks.Administer medications, monitor arrhythmias, and manage step-down patients while ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and specialty skill requirements.Utilize EPIC for documentation and patient management, with the expectation of proficiency as no additional training is provided.Pride Global offers eligible employee’s comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors.Interested?
