The Robert Half Healthcare Practice is working with an Indianapolis healthcare clinic to add a Clinical Billing Specialist to their team. This person must have a strong attention to detail and experience in Patient Accounts Receivable, Cash Posting, Medical Coding and Payment Posting.

Hours : Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Responsibilities for the position include the following :

• Prepares and submits clinic claims to third-party insurance carriers.
• Secures required medical documentation for insurance claims.
• Follows up on unpaid claims and patient balances with insurance carriers and patients.
• Researches payer regulations and claim guidelines to ensure compliant billing practices.
• Verifies insurance coverage for clinic services.
• Documents all claim resolution steps in billing software.
• Communicates claim issues and progress towards goals to Billing Manager.
• Accurately maintain patient billing records and produce billing reports as needed.
• CPC-A, CPC, CPB
• Must have experience in patient AR, cash posting, payment posting
• Coding experience a plus
• 3 years experience in physician or hospital medical billing
