Summary : Responsible for the overall upkeep of the facilities. This may involve organizing work and directing contractors. Must develop an overall working vision of the entire facility; troubleshoot processing systems; and develop a clear understanding of ammonia systems. Responsible for the accurate mandated reporting of data to governing agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Diagnose problems and make repairs or work with appropriate contractors, consultants and other repair personnel to resolve issues that arise with the facilities, machinery, or equipment
- Develop and maintain working relationships with contractors and oversee projects to their completion
- Troubleshoot various systems / equipment throughout the facility and organize the repair of such equipment
- Working knowledge of industrial boilers, industrial air compressors, industrial air handling units
- Participation and strong role of the company's CMMS program
- Understand and implement the PSM / RMP program associated with ammonia systems
- Accurate mandated reporting of data to governing federal / state / local agencies including : Tier 2 for hazardous chemicals, Form R for hazardous chemicals, Wastewater reports, Utilities, and Sustainability
- Maintain accurate and organized records
- Oversee routine and specialized maintenance schedules of equipment
- Respond appropriately to daily needs within the facility as they arise
