HVAC and Refrigeration Technician with Ice Machine Installation and Repair Experience

Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled HVAC and Refrigeration Technician with specialized expertise in ice machine installations and repairs. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in HVAC systems and refrigeration technology, along with hands-on experience in handling ice machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and installations. This position requires exceptional technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset to ensure the efficient operation and performance of ice machines for our clients.

Responsibilities :

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair a variety of ice machines, ensuring their proper functionality and adherence to safety standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on ice machines, including cleaning, sanitizing, and replacing components as needed.
  • Diagnose issues with ice machines and identify root causes of malfunctions or breakdowns.
  • Develop and execute effective repair plans to restore ice machines to optimal working conditions, minimizing downtime.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize service calls, ensuring timely responses to client requests.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, explaining repair procedures, and offering recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements when necessary.
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, services performed, and time spent on each task.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in ice machine and refrigeration systems.
  • Comply with safety regulations, protocols, and guidelines while working on various job sites.
  • Assist in training junior technicians and sharing knowledge and expertise related to ice machine installations and repairs.

Requirements

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in HVAC and refrigeration systems is preferred.
  • Valid HVAC technician certification and relevant licenses as required by local regulations.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) as an HVAC and Refrigeration Technician, with a focus on ice machine installations and repairs.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex technical issues related to ice machines and refrigeration systems.
  • Strong understanding of refrigeration principles, electrical systems, and control mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with different types and brands of ice machines, their components, and maintenance requirements.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude for hands-on repairs and installations.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and supervisors.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces when necessary.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
  • Pass Background checks.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
