Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This includes but is not limited to overseeing CMS accreditation compliance, supply chain, clinical services oversight, Quality control and Infection control management, and related supporting services of the ASC and its personnel. The ideal candidate can partner with other DONs and clinical directors in our company to problem solve ASC and patient care issues.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor day-to-day internal flow and physician relationships.
  • Assist in Pre-Op, PACU, and O.R.
  • Coordinate activity within the O.R. suite.
  • Maintain adherence to operating policy / procedure manuals.
  • Monitor daily staffing of employees and assignments.
  • Maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, co-workers, and other health team members.
  • Responsible for performance evaluation of all clinical personnel.
  • Coordinate the provision and control of materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Monitor payroll / overtime
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred to be able to perform all clinical roles within the ASC (Preop-PACU-Circulator)
  • Current Arizona Registered Nurse License
  • Current American Heart Assn. BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Previous experience as a DON in an ASC environment is required.
  • Outpatient and / or ambulatory surgery center experience and Operating Room experience is required.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical Requirements

  • Requires the effective use of office equipment including, but not limited to, computers, phones, and printers.
  • Ability to communicate in an active office environment.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.
