Senior QA Engineer

About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer with expertise in test automation and AWS to ensure the quality and reliability of our cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks, working with CI / CD pipelines, and ensuring scalable, high-performance software solutions. This position is completely remote and open to both C2C and W2. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium . Design and implement end-to-end test automation for web, mobile, and API services. Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to integrate automated testing into CI / CD pipelines. Conduct performance, scalability, and security testing for cloud-based applications. Implement and manage test environments in AWS , leveraging services like EC2, Lambda, S3, and RDS . Develop and execute API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate . Ensure test coverage, identify gaps, and work on continuous test improvements. Utilize infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) for setting up test environments. Monitor and analyze test results, providing detailed reports and recommendations. Advocate for best practices in software testing, automation, and cloud security . Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in QA automation and software testing . Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript . Strong experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or TestNG). Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, RDS). Experience in CI / CD integration with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI / CD . Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud testing strategies. Familiarity with BDD / TDD methodologies (Cucumber, SpecFlow). Strong knowledge of API testing, performance testing, and security testing . Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, ELK Stack). Solid understanding of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices . Preferred Qualifications Experience in serverless testing and cloud-native architectures . Familiarity with AI-driven test automation and self-healing test frameworks . Knowledge of load testing tools (JMeter, k6, Gatling). Exposure to compliance and security testing (SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA).
