The Registered Nurse PRN assists in the delivery of safe health care to university students who present to the CSU Health Network in the Medical Clinic. This position will work in the medical clinic as a team nurse who provides medical nursing care for a team of providers. This position must be flexible to work in a variety of clinics (acute care, primary care, women and gender care, immunizations, or allergy) as the needs arise for patient care.
The Registered Nurse PRN works a varying schedule on a as needed basis, Monday-Friday, between the hours of 7 : 30 AM 6 : 00 PM or later depending on patient variables. The position is asked to be available a minimum of four, 8-hour shifts per month, with additional shifts available to cover staff absences at the request of the Nurse Supervisor and agreed upon by the Registered Nurse PRN. This position will average less than 19 hours per week during a calendar year and is not benefits eligible.
The Registered Nurse PRN reports directly to the Nurse Supervisor, with additional oversight from the Nurse Manager. Required Job Qualifications Licensure / Certification
- Possession of current Registered Nurse license through the State of Colorado
- Current certification in AHA approved Basic Life Support (BLS)
Education
Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university AND Associate Degree in Nursing; orBachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or universityExperience
