Position Title : HR Coordinator

Start Date : Immediate

Location : Austin, TX

Reports to : Human Resources Manager

Number of Openings : 1

Type / Length of Assignment : Ongoing Contract

Hours : 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM

Compensation : $21-23 / hr

Job Description :

The HR Coordinator will provide essential support to the Human Resources department with a focus on recruitment, onboarding, organizational culture, and compliance. This role will assist in enhancing the employee experience and maintaining the efficiency of HR processes.

Main Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Recruitment & Onboarding Support :
  • Coordinate interviews and manage scheduling / communication with candidates.
  • Support the new hire process, ensuring a smooth transition and preparation of onboarding materials.
  • Assist the HR Manager in improving recruitment processes.
  • Organizational & Culture Support :
  • Help organize culture-building activities and employee events.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy in HR systems.
  • Contribute to streamlining HR department processes.
  • General HR Support :
  • Handle sensitive and confidential HR information with professionalism.
  • Support in updating and enforcing HR policies, ensuring legal compliance.
  • Provide administrative support, including document preparation and maintaining HR files.
  • Compliance & Best Practices :
  • Ensure adherence to multi-state labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Stay informed on HR trends and suggest improvements to processes.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; OR an Associate’s degree with 2+ years of HR or administrative experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions and labor laws (multi-state knowledge is a plus).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook preferred).
  • Must be able to work on-site in Austin, TX.
  • Ability to multitask and be proactive.
  • Pluses :

  • Experience in a start-up / tech environment.
  • Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, benefits administration, or payroll.
  • Experience with multi-state labor laws and culture-building initiatives.
