Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing various clinical tasks, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall mission of our practice.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs.
  • Perform dental cleanings and scaling procedures to maintain optimal oral health.
  • Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment notes and medical imaging results.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Stay updated on dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to patient care.
  • Work collaboratively with the dental team to enhance patient experience in the office.

Skills

The successful candidate will possess the following skills :

  • Proficient in taking vital signs and conducting patient assessments.
  • Experience working in a pediatric setting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with dental office operations and assisting duties.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices in a clinical environment.
  • Competence in medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry.
