Caregivers provide a variety of in-home care services for disabled and aging adults, helping to keep them at home safely and independently for as long as possible.
Caregiver Job Responsibilities
The most important and rewarding responsibility you’ll have as a caregiver is to develop a meaningful relationship with the client. You’ll also provide a variety of home care services, such as :
- Companionship and conversation
- Light housekeeping and preparing meals
- Reminding clients of medications and appointments
- Assisting with grooming, bathing, toileting, and incontinence needs
- Assisting with transferring and ambulation
- And more based on specific client care needs
