Fareva is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Richmond, VA.

Who we are :

Fareva is a leading contract manufacturer of pharmaceutical and personal care products. Located at intersection of Darbytown Road and Laburnum Avenue in Eastern Henrico County. Employs 500 full-time employees. Comfortable climate-controlled facility covering over 745,000 square feet.

About the role :

The Project Manager works independently planning, developing and executing the detailed project plan for new business opportunities based on established business processes and customer requirements. Oversees all aspects of assigned projects by setting expectations and deadlines, aligns tasks with appropriate resources and monitors and tracks progress of project to completion.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop comprehensive project plans with key project deliverables to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
  • Tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on the overall project plans.
  • Expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously directly managing all aspects of the project life cycles and engaging the appropriate business partners and client representatives in order to complete all phases of assigned projects.
  • Organizes work files and provides written and / or verbal presentations of key project deliverables
  • Manages timely resolution of critical business and customer requests
  • Lead / Participate in cross-functional teams as needed to achieve project goals and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Develop meeting agendas / minutes to lead and document internal and external, cross-functional meetings
  • Seeks guidance from support functions as needed to satisfy project goals. Makes tactical decisions independently based on results and notifies site management of critical issues.
  • Actively investigates and troubleshoots all routine project issues to mitigate project impact. Designs and carries out a series of tasks to solve problems independently. Solutions may involve the formulation of new techniques and procedures.
  • Displays initiative and commitment to business objectives. Uses practical experience to handle and troubleshoot complex problems.
  • Manages relevant project expenses within budget and scope
  • Initiates and tracks project billing activities
  • Promotes cGMP compliance within the workplace by following the established site cGMP procedures. Incorporate cGMP and regulatory compliance into all assigned projects.
  • Seeks guidance from manager on situations that incumbent has doubt or needs assistance.

Our ideal candidate :

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sciences, Engineering or Operations Management
  • Project Management certification is a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience managing projects
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing operations
  • Skills and abilities :

  • Ability to use Outlook, Word, Excel and Project Management tools such as Microsoft Project.
  • Demonstrated capability to administer Project Management Principles
  • Professional customer service competency to represent Fareva with external clients
  • Excellent written / verbal communication and effective listening skills
  • The individual must possess strong organization and time management skills and an ability to manage a broad range of activities simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to mobilize and motivate teams; set direction; lead resolution to project related issues and execute based on available information
  • Must be able to lead / influence others in the development and implementation of business objectives
  • Fundamental knowledge of Plant / Production and Supply Chain Operations
  • Must be able to make independent fact-based decisions, have proven experience leading change and be aggressive about taking responsibility
  • Must be able to analyze data and have operational understanding to identify, prevent, and solve problems
