FTE : Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift : Days

Pay : $84.28 - $134.84 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary :

Reporting directly to the CFO Metro Denver Region, the Controller manages and directs all accounting activities associated with Metro Denver corporate entities working in collaboration with the system accounting team. Designs, implements, and monitors the effectiveness of the internal control environment impacting the quality and integrity of the books and records of each entity. Manages the monthly close process, ensuring that the books and records are maintained in accordance with GASB standards and that all health system deadlines are achieved. Oversees the annual financial statement audit working directly with external auditors and in conjunction with health system accounting leadership. Serves as the most senior accounting leader for the Metro Denver Region, representing the Region as needed with external parties and internal leaders, providing accounting and analytical leadership to finance and operational leaders supporting each facility.

Responsibilities :

Directs all accounting activities for the Metro Denver Region working in collaboration with health system accounting leadership and in compliance with health system accounting policy.

Serves as the liaison with the external auditors for each audit engagement (e.g., annual financial statement audit, Single Audit for grant funding, etc.)

Maintains the quality and integrity of the internal control environment for the Metro Denver Region, surfacing issues and working with appropriate leadership to resolve.

Directs the preparation of financial analyses and reports in accordance with GAAP for all entities, joint ventures, etc. within the purview of the Metro Denver Region.

Ensures the accuracy, completeness and reliability of the accounting records within all material respects.

Manages the monthly close process, ensuring that all deadlines are achieved, and appropriate accounting entries recorded.

Directs management and record keeping for capital assets to ensure that expenditures are within budget and properly authorized by the Board.

Provides accounting and financial leadership to the broader finance team to assist the team in discharging its duties to the Region and health system, serving as the accounting subject matter expert to the CFO and Vice Presidents - Finance.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements :

Minimum Required Education : Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field. Preferred : CPA and Master's degree.

Minimum Experience : 8 years of experience in healthcare finance and accounting. Hospital Controller experience.
