Overview :

Piper Maddox is looking for a skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our client's innovative team in the Bay Area. In this role, you will work on the design and development of embedded software and associated interfaces for advanced motor control products. You will join a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, robust software for the world's next-generation of electric motor efficiency technology.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and develop software for advanced traction inverter applications.
Implement Simulink models on embedded microcontrollers.
Follow best practices in software development, including writing functional specifications, conducting code reviews, and performing unit and system testing.
Collaborate with engineers on requirements, coding, and verification processes.
Develop communication interfaces for seamless interaction with vehicle ECUs.
Create GUIs and logging tools for real-time debugging and performance analysis.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

4+ years of relevant industry experience.

Proficiency in embedded microcontrollers and related development tools.

Strong hands-on experience with C for real-time embedded control and signal processing.

Familiarity with coding best practices, standards compliance, and testing methodologies.

Some experience developing GUIs for efficient debugging, calibration, and performance evaluation.

Strong ability to gather and interpret requirements from internal stakeholders.

Skilled in writing clear and concise documentation.

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Self-motivated, adaptable, and a team player with a positive attitude.

Potential to grow into a subject matter expert and leadership role.
